Cataract Surgeries
A thorough eye examination and detailed counseling are conducted for patients diagnosed with cataract, including discussion of expected visual outcomes, lens options, and possible complications. Cataract is the clouding of the eye’s natural crystalline lens. It most commonly occurs due to aging but can also develop from prolonged steroid use, excessive ultraviolet (UV) exposure, systemic conditions such as diabetes, or previous eye injuries.
Surgery is the only effective treatment for cataract removal. The procedure involves removing the cloudy natural lens and replacing it with an Intraocular Lens (IOL). Currently, the most advanced technique used is phacoemulsification (no-stitch surgery), performed under topical or local anesthesia. A small incision of approximately 2.8 mm is made, through which the cataract is removed and a premium foldable IOL is implanted. The power of the Intraocular Lens is accurately calculated using Optical Biometry, ensuring precise vision correction and optimal postoperative visual outcomes.

We are involved in philanthropic service like carrying out free cataract screening and referral to the poor and needy patients.
